Military Training - Serving your Country
As a part-time soldier of the 62nd Infantry Battalion you will receive modern military training. This includes:

	Foot and Arms Drill	Tactical (Combat) Training
	Weapons Training and Shooting	Signals Training
	Survival Training	Navigation and Orienteering
	First Aid Training	Confidence and Leadership Training
	Paid Full Time Training and Duties	Ceremonial Duties
	Fieldcraft	Adventure Training

Pay
Weekly Rates of pay (from June 2006) for full-time training and duties are as follows:

Private, Grade 1 (Recruit)	EUR352.21
Private, 2 Star	EUR434.58
Private, 3 Star	EUR452.85

You may complete up to 42 days paid training per year in addition to unpaid weekends and field-days.

Uniform: Upon your enlistment as an infantry private (recruit) you will receive your DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material - Camouflage) uniform. For a picture of this uniform Click Here.

Membership of the Army Reserve gives you an advantage if seeking to join the regular army(PDF)/cadets, Garda Siochána, Fire Brigade, Ambulance Service, Prison Service and other jobs.
